Rubundo island Resort
Rubondo Island Resort is located in Rubondo National Park; this is an island in the southwest part of Lake Victoria. Rubondo Island is located about 150 kilometres west of Mwanza, where you travel from by boat to the island.This is a small, lodge with 8 individual buildings spaced apart and built using old crafts and local materials.
There is a clearing between the scattered trees, which creates a wonderful dining, and relaxing area, as well as a pool all with a beautiful view. The camp offers tours, interests, bird hunting, field trips, field trips, fishing and other activities including visiting the resident Chimpanzee population.
This is a great lodge for people who have been to the usual Tanzania safari destinations and are not looking for a classic beach holiday.
